![]() I can use the tape measure tool to measure my drawing to translate things into real life. One of the things I really love about it is that I can model in as much detail as I like, and can have plans accurate down to the millimetre. ![]() Crucial is “group” and”pull” and to a lesser extent “layer”. To make it usable you really have to learn a few techniques. SketchUp is a bit intimidating at first but really all it boils down to is drawing rectangles in 2D and using the pull tool to add some depth. I tried using some other tools such as the IKEA kitchen planner, but found myself getting a bit frustrated trying to some perhaps more unique features like having two rows of wall cabinets, one above the other. ![]() I believe it’s from around 2017, the last free desktop version they had. I’m using an old version of Google SketchUp currently.
